What I have been up to.

Have been busy with knitting and crocheting and staying close to my heat source. Okay it is time for the winter to be over with. It looks like there will be rain through to mid June. I have already made up my mind that I am not planting anything. There will not be time for anything to come to refutation. Yicks!
Oh well this will be a years of letting the ground rest and I can concentrate on crafts. Speaking of crafts that is something else I have neglected. My craft table is toooooo far away from the fire and it is toooo cold to work were it is at. I am turning into a wimp. Here is what I have been doing.

These are out of a yarn from Italy that a friend bought for me. They are a little heaver then the standard sock yarn but do go well in sandals.
These are of supper was wool, nylon, and bamboo and are very comfortable.
These are supper wash and nylon and so soft.
These are from very old yarn I got at our weavers guild annual trade, barter, or sale and pot luck. It is from GB and is all wool. Was wonderful to work with and feel great on.
The body of this sock is supper was and nylon and the cuff, heel, and toe are the wool form GB.

This pattern is a lace pattern called embossed leaves. The yarn is supper was and nylon and the heel and toe is a white that I dyed this green to go with the supper wash.

This is a little tote back I made for a friend to carry her Bible in to class. It is crochet out of a cotton rug yarn. The strips are a happy accident. It is all single crochet. I also lined it.
The flowers are from standard crochet thread and I sewed them on with vintage buttons from my large collection.
I am working on a knit dishtowel from this same cotton yarn to see how well I like it. It seems a bit ruff but I think it will be okay once it is washed.
